Bar Sheds

Do you love going to the pub for a pint with your friends? What if we told you that you could have this experience from the comfort of your garden? With our garden shed bars, you can.

Bar Shed FAQs

A garden shed bar is designed to serve as a mini bar in your back garden.

These sheds often include a bar area and shelves to store all of your alcoholic drinks. Shed bars have become popular in the UK, transforming gardens into pub-like atmospheres during the summer.

On average, garden shed bars start from around £500 for basic models. For a larger and more elaborate design, you’re looking at paying £1000-£2000.

Of course, the cost depends on the size, materials, and complexity of the shed bar.

No! As long as your shed follows the building regulations, then you don’t need planning permission for a garden bar.

These regulations state that the shed must be single-story, not exceed a height of 2.5 meters, and must not exceed 50% of the land surrounding your house.

If you have a small garden, a bar shed that is 6ft x 4ft or 8ft x 6ft will be able to accommodate 1-2 people.

For social gatherings, a 10ft x 8ft or 12ft x 10ft shed will be able to accommodate 6-8 people, with plenty of space for a counter, seating, storage, and decor. A large garden shed (14ft x 12ft or bigger) can host 10+ people with plenty of space for drinking and entertainment.

To keep your garden bar secure, opt for high-quality, robust locks to prevent intruders from getting in, and make sure you lay a secure foundation. This will prevent movement or toppling due to harsh weather.

An alarm and motion-sensor lighting will alert you to any trespassers in your garden, keeping any items inside the shed safe from theft.

If you’re going to invest in a garden bar shed, you may as well have some fun with it!

Bringing a theme to your shed, such as a traditional pub interior or a tiki bar with tropical elements, will make having guests around more enjoyable.

You could even turn it into a sports bar with a TV to watch football games with the lads and some comfy chairs for a great viewing experience. It’s a great way to save money than going to the actual pub!
